Women in Academic Medicine

December 10, 2009

Noon-1:00pm

At the December 10, 2009 Women in Academic Medicine meeting from Noon - 1:00 pm, Chris Castellano, MBA, Administrator for Pediatrics and the Steele Children's Research Center will give a one-hour seminar entitled, "Fact or Fiction? Financial Myth Busters in Academic Medicine." As a veteran of the COM, Ms. Castellano will evaluate some of the preconceived notions about money in academic medicine and how they allow us (or prevent us) from using data to help manage our day to day work lives. Learn some basic concepts about our multiple funding sources, how they are allocated and how a basic understanding of these concepts can help you adapt to the new economy. There will be time for Ms. Castellano to answer your questions, so be sure to bring your questions with you.

In Tucson, this seminar will be held in room 3230 (former Learning Resource Center) and in Phoenix it will be held in room 1353.

For Tucson please RSVP to Debbie Folkers at folkersd@u.arizona.edu and for Phoenix please RSVP to Sandee Chambers at sandeec@email.arizona.edu.
