Dean's Council on Faculty Affairs
The Dean's Council on Faculty Affairs ("Council") is
a standing committee of the College of Medicine which: 1) develops
and implements programs that will enhance faculty life (related
to, for example, career development, mentoring, leadership, etc.);
2) develops policies pertinent to the faculty at the College of
Medicine; and 3) advises the Dean on all faculty affairs matters
at the College of Medicine (e.g., promotion and tenure, recruitment
and retention, etc.). The Council, which is co-chaired by the Associate
Dean for Faculty Affairs and one Council members, consists of 12
members, including at least four faculty from basic science departments,
four from clinical departments and one from Phoenix, with representatives
from all ranks and tracks.
